We’ll create a world of opportunities for you.Job Title: Senior DBA ConsultantWork Location: Bangalore/KolkataWork Experience: 8 to 12 yearsJob Responsibilities- Administer, maintain, and optimize Postgre SQL databases, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.- Write, review, and optimize SQL and PL/SQL queries, functions, and stored procedures for performance.- Conduct database performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting to resolve bottlenecks.- Collaborate with application developers to design efficient database solutions and ensure best practices in data modeling.- Implement and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.- Monitor database performance, capacity planning, and proactively identify areas for improvement.- Ensure adherence to data governance, compliance, and security standards.- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior DBAs and development teams.- Work closely with cross-functional teams to support business-critical applications and projectsRequired Skills- Strong expertise in Postgre SQL database administration and development.- Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL with hands-on experience in writing complex queries.- Proven experience in query tuning and performance optimization.- Familiarity with database backup, recovery, high availability, and replication techniques.- Ability to collaborate with developers, architects, and stakeholders to deliver optimized database solutions.- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.Nice to Have- Exposure to Oracle database administration.- Experience working in cloud environments (AWS RDS, Azure, GCP) with Postgre SQL.- Knowledge of automation scripts (Python, Shell, Ansible) for DBA tasks.
