Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret a broad range of imaging studies including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, and mammograms (depending on specialty).
  • Perform image-guided procedures such as biopsies, drainages, or joint injections (if applicable).
  • Provide preliminary and final radiology reports in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Collaborate with referring physicians to discuss findings and ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Maintain compliance with hospital and departmental protocols, policies, and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Participate in peer reviews, case conferences, and continuing education activities.
  • Stay updated with advancements in radiologic technology and medical imaging practices.
  • Supervise or consult with radiologic technologists when needed.
  • May participate in teleradiology or night shift coverage as required.

Qualifications:

  • MD degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of a residency in Diagnostic Radiology.
  • Fellowship training in a radiology subspecialty (optional but preferred e.g., neuroradiology, musculoskeletal, breast imaging, etc.).
  • Valid and unrestricted medical license in (State).
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
