Role : Application Support Analyst

Position Overview :

As an Application Support Analyst, you will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving issues related to .NET applications, assisting customers with technical problems, and ensuring the smooth operation of our software solutions. You will work closely with Azure Infrastructure teams to troubleshoot issues, implement fixes, and enhance application performance.

Key Responsibilities :

- Technical Support : Provide technical support for .NET-based applications, including troubleshooting and resolving application issues reported by users or identified through monitoring

- Change Management : Manage and prioritise changes from the business and deliver as per the agreed SLAs

- Incident Management : Manage and prioritise support tickets, ensuring timely resolution of issues and effective communication with stakeholders

- Problem Resolution : Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, including debugging code, analysing logs, and applying patches or fixes

- System Monitoring : Monitor application performance and stability, identify potential issues, and implement preventive measures to minimise downtime

- Documentation : Maintain detailed documentation of support cases, solutions, and standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing

- Customer Interaction : Communicate effectively with end-users to understand their issues, provide clear instructions, and ensure a positive customer experience.

- Collaboration : Work closely with onshore teams to escalate and address bugs, system improvements, and new feature requests

- Updates and Patches : Apply software updates, patches, and configuration changes to ensure systems remain secure and up to date

- Training : Provide training and guidance to internal staff on application functionality and best practices

Qualifications :

Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience

Experience : Minimum 2-4 years of experience in a technical support role with a focus on .NET applications

Skills :

- Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, and related technologies

- Strong knowledge of SQL Server, database management

- Experience with debugging tools and techniques, application performance monitoring, and troubleshooting

- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git or Azure dev-ops

- Basic understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Soft Skills :

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

- Good communication and interpersonal skills
