Scope:

Volante Technologies is a provider of payments modernization solutions to financial businesses worldwide. We are seeking an experienced commercial and corporate counsel to enhance our busy in-house legal function as it scales to meet the needs of our rapidly growing business. This mid-level position offers the opportunity to provide vital legal support to our global operations and be part of a collaborative, innovative and supportive environment.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment and wants to play a key role in shaping our legal strategy as we grow.

Responsibilities: Reporting to Volante's General Counsel, the key areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts , particularly technology agreements with vendors and strategic partners, and customer SOWs.
  • Providing corporate/company secretarial support and legal admin support.
  • Contributing to the ongoing development and review of precedent agreements , internal policies , and standardized processes .
  • Managing and maintaining the Legal Team's Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) platform .

Core Qualifications, Experience, Attributes, and Skills:

  • Dual qualified in India and the US
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, with a particular focus on technology agreements , SOWs , and US law .
  • Relevant experience working in software companies servicing the financial sector .
  • Knowledge of data privacy laws (including Indian regulations such as the Data Protection Bill and IT Act ) is highly desirable.
  • Proven hands-on experience in lean legal teams. And comfortable taking initiatives and adapting to varied responsibilities.
  • Outstanding negotiation and legal drafting skills .
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization and with external clients, collaborating across different geographical locations, cultures, and time zones.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a variety of matters, while maintaining attention to detail and responsiveness.
  • Proactive, motivated, confident, and a team player , with a passion for providing high-quality legal services.
