We are looking for a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to create and manage BI and analytics solutions that turn data into knowledge. In this role, you should have a background in data and business analysis. You should be analytical and an excellent communicator. If you have a business acumen and problem-solving aptitude, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you will enhance our business intelligence system to help us and our clients make better decisions.
Key Skills:
60% Power BI with strong visualization skills
40% building and using tabular models.
Responsibilities
Translate business needs to technical specifications
Design, build and deploy BI solutions, primarily using PowerBI
Maintain and support data analytics platforms for web-based BI
Create tools to store data (e.g. OLAP cubes)
Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting
Evaluate and improve existing BI systems
Collaborate with teams to integrate systems
Develop and execute database queries, stored procedures, and conduct deep analyses
Create visualizations and reports for requested projects
Develop and update technical documentation
Skills
5+ years of proven experience as a BI Developer
Must have worked with large international clients on mission-critical business reporting
Proven ability to articulate, and communicate with senior business leaders
Excellent communication skills, proactive and ready to work in a Garage environment.
Proficient in DAX Language (3+ years of developing DAX queries in Power BI), to develop dynamic reports and dashboards to show analytics value to the end customer.
3+ year(s) SQL coding experience for loading and extracting data
Extremely proficient in creation and maintenance of data pipelines
Design and development of Power BI Dashboards, connecting directly to several data sources including Cloud SQL, Excel, flat files, real-time IoT streams, 3rd party DBs, etc.
Background in data warehouse design and data mining
In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework
Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude
Bachelors or master’s in computer science preferred
