PositionSummary:
TheIB School Coordinator is a highly skilled educational leader withexperience in the International Baccalaureate (IB) programmesincluding the Primary Years Programme (PYP) Middle Years Programme(MYP) and Diploma Programme (IBDP). This role involves coordinatingthe schools IB programmes and supporting the accreditation processfor the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) ensuringalignment with IB standards andrequirements.
KeyResponsibilities:
1.Provide leadership and strategic direction for the implementationand coordination of the IB programmes including PYP MYP and IBDPwithin the schoolcommunity.
2.Collaborate with school leadership teachers and stakeholders todevelop and implement a comprehensive plan for IB programmeevaluation accreditation and continuousimprovement.
3.Coordinate the preparation of documentation evidence and selfstudyreports required for IB programme evaluation and authorizationensuring alignment with IB standards andguidelines.
4.Support the development and alignment of curriculum instruction andassessment practices with the IB frameworks and WASC accreditationstandards promoting a culture of excellence andinnovation.
5.Facilitate professional development opportunities for staff toenhance their understanding of IB pedagogy assessment practices andaccreditation requirements and provide support and mentorship asneeded.
6.Coordinate site visits evaluations and reviews conducted by IBrepresentatives and WASC accreditation teams serving as the primaryliaison between the school and external accreditingagencies.
7.Analyze data gather feedback and identify areas for improvementbased on evaluation outcomes and collaborate with school leadershipand stakeholders to develop and implement actionplans.
8.Manage resources and timelines related to IB programme coordinationand accreditation activities ensuring efficient use of resourcesand alignment with school priorities andgoals.
9.Uphold the mission values and policies of the school and serve as apositive role model for students staff and the broadercommunity.
Qualifications:
1.Masters or Bachelor s degree in Education or related field;additional qualifications or certifications in IBeducation.
2.Experience in IB programmes with demonstrated expertise in PYP MYPand IBDP curriculum instruction andassessment.
3.Previous experience in a leadership or coordination role within anIB school or similar educational setting including involvement inIB programme evaluationauthorization.
4.Strong understanding of the IB philosophy mission and educationalprinciples and a commitment to promoting internationalmindednessinquirybased learning and holisticeducation.
5.Excellent communication collaboration and interpersonal skills withthe ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders andfoster a positive schoolculture.
6.Visionary leadership qualities including strategic thinkinginnovation and the ability to inspire and empower others to achieveexcellence.
7.Analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to analyzedata identify trends and make datadriven decisions to supportschool improvementinitiatives.
8.Knowledge of accreditation processes standards and requirements forIB schools and experience leading accreditation processes andevaluationvisits.
9.Flexibility adaptability and resilience to navigate challenges andlead change in a dynamic educationalenvironment
