Each day, you will ensure purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying new suppliers in cooperation with the relevant category team.In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.The work model for the role is: #Li-OnsiteThis role is contributing to the Electrification business in Distribution Solution division at Vadodara, IndiaYou will be mainly accountable for:Initiating Purchase Orders in the system, according to the purchase requisitions and in alignment with standard procedures, and confirming delivery with suppliers, monitoring, and tracking supplier performance to PO requirements.Negotiating agreements with main suppliers, and periodically renews price lists and terms and conditions.Recommending frame agreements to management and executing upon approval.Analyzing and evaluating bids to determine the optimal value.Our team dynamicsOur teams support each other, collaborate, and never stop learning. Being part of our team means your work matters - because the progress we make here creates real impact out there.Qualifications for the role You are immersed in purchase function in switchgear industryYou have 2 to 5 years of experience in Purchase of Electronics and Mechanical Commodities (i.e PCBA, Connectors, Sub-Assemblies, Boxbuild Deliveries and Metal housing and accessories)You have hands on experience in Purchasing, Creating PR/PO & Managing Inventory, Vendor and Supplier DeliveryPossess an enhanced knowledge of SAP - MM, Procure to Pay (P2P)Degree in Electronics engineering (should be full-time)You are at ease communicating in EnglishMore about us ABB's Distribution Solutions Division facilitates the efficient and reliable distribution, protection and control of power by improving electric power quality while strengthening the resilience of the grid.
