Role: PD Fixture Design Engineer

Key Qualifications

Essential skills or experiences:

· Bachelor’s degree in product design or mechanical engineering is required

· - years’ experience in product design (preferably consumer electronic products Handheld/portable device)

· Strong work ethic with a high degree of flexibility to collaborate with cross function team

· Comfort working in a quickly changing environment within product development phases and builds

· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills and strong communication and interpersonal skills

· Experience with fixture design for electronic assembly and handheld tool design is a plus

Preferred (or what we offer for training):

· Proven ability in D CAD modeling systems and workflow, UG NX or Solidworks fluency desirable

· understanding knowledge of mechanical design principles, including GD&T, materials and manufacturing processes

· Experience in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA)

· Working with Labs and knowing the equipment to resolve issues

Description

As a member of product design team at Foxconn, you will help to build the next generation of the world's most innovative mobile devices. We're seeking for someone who is passionate about engineering and thrives on innovation to optimize the product design/fixture design/process design.

You will be responsible for design new automatic machines and fixtures for product assembly,

driving failure analysis, building prototypes and fit-check, studying analytical models and testing data, and organizing DOEs as we study new designs. Not only the engineer sitting at the back of a screen and click buttons, but a dynamic communicational bridge between vendor and client – designer and product.

Self-driven with the desire and ability to become an integral part of Foxconn PD, also taken gained

product design & development and mechanical engineering experience with you in future career.

Education & Experience

· BS/MS in product/industrial design or mechanical engineering related fields

· Proficient in written English

· Work experience with CAD tools or simulation tool
