Description

Scrum MasterThe person in this role will act as Scrum Master for 2-3 teams, will promote Agile development practices and work across multiple stakeholders to identify and remove impediments. We need Scrum Masters with a strong vision for creating the best workplace possible. The ideal candidate will be passionate about getting the best out of individuals and teams through the power of self-organization.RESPONSIBILITIES:Serve as subject matter expert on software development methods and processesEnable the Scrum teams to perform at the highest level by instilling Scrum values, coaching the team, removing impediments, and protecting the team from disruptionOrganize and facilitate team backlog management, daily scrum (standups), sprint reviews, retrospectives, demos and other Scrum-related eventsMonitors, records, and communicates assigned team(s) KPIs/Metrics and ensures transparency regarding team achievements across internal stakeholdersIdentifies and communicates impediments to team achievement to leadership while working to remove any barriers to deliver on committed workAssist Product Owner as needed with backlog maintenance, internal and external communication, improving transparency, and disseminating informationShare Agile knowledge and best practices across the organization to maximize Scrum team performance and effectiveness.Coach’s teams, individuals and the organization in collaboration, transparency, iteration and being customer focusedCreates high performing, self-organized teams that can’t wait to get to work each dayChallenges assumptions about how we work together and how we develop our product and collaborate with us to find a better wayBuilds consensus through collaboration and influences without authority.Helps to evolve a culture of high performance and innovation that allows people to thriveCultivates a culture of learning and a thirst to learn faster than our competitorsEDUCATION:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, or equivalentEXPERIENCE:Three or more years of working on a scrum teamas a contributor (Developer, Product Owner, QA Engineer)Two years of experience as a scrum masterAttainment of one or more agile-related, scrum master focused certifications:Scrum Alliance: Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Advanced CSM, Certified Scrum Professional (CSP-SM)org: Professional Scrum Master (PSM I-III)Other: Certified Scrum Coach (CSC), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP),Experience in coaching an organization at any level through the transition from waterfall to an agile frameworkREQUIRED SKILLS:Demonstrable proficiency in Agile methods, including Scrum and KanbanExperience working in an environment where an agile framework was applied at scaleExperience in a variety of Software Development Life Cycles (waterfall, iterative and agile).Comfortable with the implementation and execution of Scrum in an environment where individuals are unfamiliar or uncomfortable with the methodology.Experienced facilitator able to apply various techniques to ensure effective meetings both co-located and distributedStrong leadership skills and a history of leading through influence.Ability to work with diverse personality types.Collaborative approach to decision-making on teams.Ability to work under limited supervision.Ability to help existing leadership understand their changing roleDESIRED SKILLS:Experience with Atlassian tools, including JIRA and Confluence.Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps
