Job Summary: We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager to lead our product development team. The ideal candidate will drive technical excellence, maintain architectural principles, and ensure the team adheres to best engineering practices. This role also involves overseeing the release process, maintaining ARB (Architecture Review Board), and managing code branching strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership: Guide and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Architectural Principles: Uphold and enforce architectural guidelines and best practices to ensure system scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
  • ARB Management: Oversee and maintain the Architecture Review Board (ARB), ensuring design decisions align with business and technical goals.
  • Code Quality: Ensure best practices in coding, code reviews, and maintain high-quality software standards.
  • Branching Strategy: Define and enforce effective branching strategies for codebase management in version control systems.
  • Release Process: Manage software release cycles, CI/CD pipelines, and ensure smooth deployments.
  • Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with Product, QA, and DevOps teams to drive alignment on technical requirements and product goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3+ years in an engineering leadership role.
  • Strong experience with software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.).
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages, preferably Python, Django among others.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevOps practices.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD, version control (Git), and software release processes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working with distributed teams is a plus.
  • Experience in data and ai applications is a plus
