Role : Database Lead Consultant

Location : Gurugram (Work from Office)

Job Description :

- Min. 8+ years of experience

- Lead the design and architecture of AWS Aurora PostgreSQL database solutions based on business requirements.

- Provide expertise in data modeling, indexing, and optimization for performance and scalability.

- Understanding of AWS Cloud design patterns.

- Oversee and contribute to the development of database schemas, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.

- Collaborate with development teams to ensure optimal database integration with applications.

- Conduct performance tuning and optimization of AWS Aurora PostgreSQL databases to ensure efficient and responsive data access.

- Analyze and resolve performance bottlenecks and issues.

- Implement and enforce security best practices for AWS Aurora PostgreSQL databases.

- Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies for PostgreSQL databases.

- Implement disaster recovery plans to minimize data loss and downtime.

- Implement and manage high availability solutions, such as streaming replication or logical replication.

- Set up and maintain database clusters for failover and load balancing.

- Establish monitoring systems to track database performance, availability, and health.

Must Have :

- Extensive experience as a AWS Aurora PostgreSQL database administrator or consultant.

- Strong proficiency in SQL and PL/pgSQL.

- In-depth knowledge of PostgreSQL features, capabilities, and best practices.

- Experience with database performance tuning and optimization.

- Familiarity with PostgreSQL extensions and additional tools.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Relevant certifications in PostgreSQL or related technologies are a plus.

Mandate Skills :

- PostgreSQL

- AWS Aurora

- A person who can design application DB based on business requirements.


- This is more application design focus where knowledge of PostGress DB is very important.

- Candidates who are from DB Ops background won't fly.


- The need of the project is DB Architect (strong modeling & designing).
