Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Dubbing Artist at Rooftop. As a Dubbing Artist, you will be responsible for providing voice-over services for various art experiences and courses. Your day-to-day tasks will include dubbing scripts, ensuring proper enunciation, inflection, and emotion in the voice-over, and collaborating with the creative team to meet project requirements. Attention to detail and a strong sense of rhythm and timing are essential for this role.
Dubbing and Translation: Translate spoken content from Hindi to English, including course lectures, demonstrations, and discussions, while maintaining accuracy, clarity, and cultural sensitivity.
Voice Acting: Perform voiceovers for dubbed content in English, capturing the tone, emotion, and nuances of the original Hindi recordings to deliver compelling and authentic performances.
Script Adaptation: Collaborate with content creators to adapt scripts and course materials for dubbing purposes, ensuring seamless integration of translated dialogue and natural flow in English narration.
Language Proficiency: Demonstrate fluency and proficiency in both written and spoken English and Hindi, with the ability to convey complex concepts and ideas effectively in both languages.
Audio Editing: Assist in the post-production process, editing and refining voice recordings to enhance clarity, coherence, and overall audio quality, while adhering to project deadlines and quality standards.
Collaboration: Work closely with content team, art research team and production team to coordinate recording sessions, review scripts, and provide feedback to ensure the success of each project.
Adaptability: Adapt to evolving project requirements, timelines, and feedback with flexibility and professionalism, maintaining a high standard of performance and quality throughout the dubbing process.
Qualifications
Experience as a dubbing artist or voice-over artist
Excellent command of the language (English and/or Hindi) with clear diction and pronunciation
Ability to deliver voice-over recordings with proper enunciation, inflection, and emotion
Strong sense of rhythm and timing
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and ability to follow directions
Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines
Experience in the field of Indian art or passion for art is a plus
Requirements:
Proven experience as a dubbing artist, voice artist, or translator, with a strong portfolio showcasing proficiency in both English and Hindi language skills.
Native or near-native fluency in both written and spoken English and Hindi, with a deep understanding of linguistic nuances, accents, and cultural contexts.
Strong voice acting skills and the ability to convey emotion, character, and narrative effectively in both languages, with a diverse range of vocal styles and tones.
Knowledge of technologies, with the ability to refine voice recordings to meet project requirements and quality standards.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in linguistics, translation, performing arts, or related fields.
