About Non-Profit Advisory
One of the core areas of focus for Sattva is strengthening nonprofits and social enterprises through a hands-on approach, to help orbit-shifting scale and impact. In the last ten years, Sattva has enabled over 500 organisations to create impact at scale. Within Sattva, the Non-profit advisory vertical aims to enable aspirational organisations to create impact at scale. The vertical provides services across three levels; First, the vertical helps build overall strategic clarity through various offerings, such as organisational strategy, new market entry, and retained advisory. Second, through program enablement offerings, the team assesses program readiness and designs pathways and solutions to pilot and scale programs. Third, via institutional building activities such as Monitoring and Evaluation, Fundraising Strategy, Organisational Design, and Talent Advisory, the vertical strategically builds organisational, financial, and legal structures appropriate to achieve objectives and aligned with the vision.  In practice, the team keeps evolving its support to nonprofits based on the changing needs on the ground and from communities across all sectors.

The Opportunity


We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Engagement Manager of Organizational Design to join our consulting team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive technical expertise in organizational design, coupled with strong leadership and client management skills. This role involves working closely with clients to assess their needs, develop tailored solutions, and implement effective organizational structures that drive performance and growth. The role will include travel to client locations at least twice per month.
Key Responsibilities:


  • Technical Expertise:  Apply advanced technical knowledge of organizational design tools, methodologies, and frameworks to deliver high-quality solutions.

  • Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business objectives and organizational challenges.

  • Organizational Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of clients' current organizational structures, processes, and capabilities to identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Solution Development: Design and propose customized organizational structures and processes that align with clients' strategic goals.

  • Implementation: Lead the implementation of organizational design projects, ensuring seamless execution and client satisfaction.

  • Change Management: Develop and execute change management strategies to support clients through organizational transitions.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with client stakeholders at all levels to ensure buy-in and alignment with proposed organizational design initiatives.

  • Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of implemented changes and provide data-driven recommendations.

  • Thought Leadership: Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in organizational design, contributing to the firm's knowledge base and thought leadership.

  • Team Leadership: Mentor and develop junior consultants, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Degree in Business Administration, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or a related field. Master’s degree is a must.
  • Minimum of 8- 10 years of experience in organizational design projects and management consulting, with at least 4 years in a managerial role.
  • Proficiency in organizational design tools and methodologies
  • Strong client management skills with a track record of successfully managing client engagements and delivering results.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage project teams, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects and driving organizational change.
  • Relevant certifications in organizational design or development are a plus.
