Key Requirements:

1. Work Experience:

• 12-16 years of hands-on experience in software engineering.• Significant experience working in product companies, demonstrating a deep understanding of the product development lifecycle.

2. Team Management:

• Proven ability to lead and manage a team of approximately 50 engineers.• Strong leadership skills with a focus on mentorship, collaboration, and fostering a positive work culture.

3. Technical Expertise:

• Proficient in a variety of technologies, including Node.js, Java, React.js, and Elastic Search.• Ability to provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team.

4. Product Development:

• Proven experience in overseeing the entire product development lifecycle from ideation to delivery.• Ability to align engineering efforts with product goals and customer needs.

5. Educational Background:

• Graduated from a Tier-2 college with a degree in engineering or a related field.

6. Office Commitment:

• Willingness to work from the office, contributing to a collaborative work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Team Leadership:

• Lead and inspire a team of engineers to achieve project goals and deadlines.• Foster a collaborative and innovative environment that encourages continuous improvement.

2. Project Management:

• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of high-quality software projects.• Ensure that projects are completed within scope, on time, and within budget.

3. Technical Guidance:

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the engineering team.• Stay abreast of industry trends and incorporate relevant technologies into the development process.

4. Collaboration:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless product delivery.

5. Performance Evaluation:

• Conduct regular performance evaluations for team members and provide constructive feedback.• Identify and address skill gaps through training and mentorship.

6. Budget Oversight:

• Manage and optimize the engineering budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation.

7. Strategic Thinking:

• Ability to contribute to the development of the overall product strategy and align engineering efforts accordingly.• Collaborate with product management and other stakeholders to define and execute the product roadmap.

8. Quality Assurance:

• Ensure the implementation of robust quality assurance processes to deliver high-quality, reliable products.• Implement best practices for testing and quality control throughout the development cycle.

9. Cross-functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with other departments, including product management, design, and marketing, to ensure a cohesive and successful product strategy.

10. Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

• Encourage a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the engineering team.• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to incorporate into product development.
