Hitachi Migration Consultant

Job Description :
- Lead and execute Hitachi NAS migration projects, including planning, execution, and validation of data migration activities.
- Utilize expertise in migration tools such as RoboCopy, SecureCopy, and EMCopy to transfer data between Hitachi NAS systems and other storage platforms.
- Collaborate with clients to assess their NAS environment, gather requirements, and develop migration strategies aligned with their business goals.
- Configure and optimize Hitachi NAS systems and migration tools to ensure efficient and secure data transfer with minimal disruption to business operations.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams and stakeholders throughout the migration process, addressing any technical issues or challenges that arise.
- Document migration procedures, methodologies, and best practices for knowledge sharing and future reference.
Required Skills :
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Hitachi NAS migration and related technologies.
- Proficiency in migration tools such as RoboCopy, SecureCopy, and EMCopy.
- Familiarity with Hitachi NAS storage systems and their configuration, administration, and management.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex NAS and migration issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and project teams.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering Hitachi NAS migration projects on time and within budget.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience with other NAS platforms such as NetApp, EMC Isilon, or IBM Spectrum Scale.
- Hitachi certification(s) in storage administration or migration.
Education and Experience :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Hitachi NAS migration and storage administration.
