JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to oversee and manage residential and/or commercial real estate development projects in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in construction project management, excellent leadership skills, and a proven ability to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
· Project Planning & Execution:
Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets for construction projects. Oversee day-to-day operations from pre-construction to project completion. Expertise in infrastructure like roads, drainage, landscape and water supply would be essential in developing our project.
· Coordination & Supervision:
Lead project teams, including engineers, architects, contractors, consultants, and site personnel. Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders.
· Budget & Cost Control:
Monitor project costs, track expenditures, and implement cost-control measures to ensure adherence to the approved budget.
· Quality Assurance:
Ensure that all construction activities comply with quality standards, safety regulations, and relevant statutory requirements.
· Risk Management:
Identify potential risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
· Reporting & Documentation:
Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management and clients. Maintain comprehensive project documentation.
· Vendor & Contractor Management:
Evaluate, negotiate, and manage vendor and contractor performance to ensure timely and quality delivery.
· Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all legal and regulatory approvals (local body permissions, environmental clearances, etc.) are obtained in a timely manner.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
· Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
(Master's degree or PMP certification is a plus)
· Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in construction project management within the real estate or infrastructure sector.
· Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale residential, commercial or Plotting projects.
· Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations in Tamil Nadu.
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
· Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
