Description of the role :

Specialized Expertise: The role demands a leader with demonstrated experience in manufacturing and automation design, particularly in Automated lines and Heavy Equipment with Robotics and Gantry automation.

Strategic Alignment: As our Giga Factory is the first of its size, parallel ramping of 500-odd equipment requires experienced hands to define equipment specifications to the technology provider and ensure critical process control. Coordination with the project facilities team is crucial to meeting facility, power, air, and environmental requirements. The complexity of the equipment necessitates a deep understanding of process and equipment integration, making hiring for this position crucial to achieving our operational goals.

Purpose of the job / Objective

Work with cross-functional teams to Test, Validate, and Roll-out Equipment to production.

Role and Responsibilities:

1. Shop Floor Leadership2. Equipment Supplier Management3. Cross-functional Collaboration4. IT Integration & MES Adoption5. RFP, RFQ Creation & PO Coordination6. Manufacturing feasibility in existing production lines7. Equipment Design & Product Feasibility8. Integrating Equipment and Process

Mandatory Skills:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operation/Maintenance Management, or a related field2. Proven track record of successful leadership in a high-volume manufacturing environment, knowledge of data analysis, statistics, SPC, RCA, and expertise in SolidWorks or other 3D CAD software3. In-depth understanding of automation systems, mechanical engineering, PLCs, robotics, data collection systems, cutting-edge equipment, and evolving technologies4. Demonstrated ability to inspire and lead teams towards operational excellence, bringing out the best in each team member5. Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills, honed through practical experience in navigating complex manufacturing scenarios6. Thorough knowledge of safety regulations and quality control standards, with a track record of flawless compliance7. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, fostering an inclusive communicative environment
