Job Title: Sr. Manager Procurement (Non-Medical)

Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat

Purpose

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Manager of Procurement to oversee all procurement activities for Adani Health City. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare procurement and supply chain management. This includes developing and implementing procurement strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure cost-effective and timely acquisition of goods and services, while maintaining the highest quality standards. The incumbent will play a crucial role in managing relationships with medical technology and non-medical suppliers, supporting greenfield hospital projects, commissioning new facilities. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of Adani in the healthcare sector, while working in a dynamic and inclusive environment that encourages innovation and collaboration.

Experience

8+ years of experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in healthcare procurement

Proven experience in managing greenfield projects, commissioning new facilities, and overseeing hospital procurement operations.

Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, contract negotiation, and supplier management.

Roles and Responsibilities

The Sr. Manager Procurement will have the following key roles and responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals
  • Manage end-to-end procurement processes for medical equipment, supplies, pharmaceuticals, and general goods/services
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality
  • Collaborate with medical staff, administration, and other departments to understand procurement needs
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Implement and maintain inventory management systems
  • Analyze market trends and forecast future procurement needs
  • Manage and develop the procurement team
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders
  • Continuously improve procurement processes and implement best practices
  • Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies for medical and non-medical supplies, aligned with the organization's objectives.
  • Analyze spend data, identify cost-saving opportunities, and develop cost optimization strategies for medical and non-medical procurement.

Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies related to procurement, including those specific to the healthcare industry.

Lead the procurement planning and execution for new hospital projects from the ground up.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and source all required medical and non-medical equipment, supplies, and services.

Develop and implement commissioning plans, ensuring timely delivery and installation of procured items.

Manage the transition from project commissioning to operational procurement activities.

Oversee the procurement operations of existing hospitals, ensuring efficient and effective supply chain management for medical and non-medical supplies.

Implement inventory management strategies, monitor stock levels, and optimize order cycles.

Manage supplier relationships, monitor performance, and address any issues or concerns.

Ensure adherence to procurement best practices and ethical standards.


Education Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred

Experience in multi-facility healthcare procurement

Knowledge of medical equipment and supplies

Familiarity with Indian healthcare regulations and procurement practices
