Software Application Development Engineer

Job Description Designs, develops, tests, and debugs software applications used by endusers or integrated with other applications by ISVs. Development may span the full application stack including both frontend and backend application development. Uses modern software development methodologies and programming languages, follows secure coding practices and software legal compliance guidelines, analyzes user stories, writes both functional and test code, automates build and deployment, and performs unit integration and endtoend testing of applications. Completes SDL tasks with the assistance of product security engineers and provides input to technical writers to complete product documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. May also interact with end users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications. Qualifications Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science, Information Technology, or related STEM field with 5-7 years of Industry experience At least 2 years hands on experience in IBM Varicent. Any certification(s) in this area is an added advantage. Agile/scrum development experience - strong teamwork/team development ethic Preferred Qualifications: Sales Incentive domain knowledge Working knowledge of Oracle PLC, SFDC, JavaScript, Python, React AI development experience including computer vision, machine intelligence, deep learning and/or large language models Should be comfortable working Cross-geo Strong written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills Customer-focused mindset when owning and delivering solutions. Detail-oriented with a collaborative problem-solving approach Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research. Inside this Business Group Intel's Information Technology Group (IT) designs, deploys and supports the information technology architecture and hardware/software applications for Intel. This includes the LAN, WAN, telephony, data centers, client PCs, backup and restore, and enterprise applications. IT is also responsible for e-Commerce development, data hosting and delivery of Web content and services.
