About Client: A leading manufacturer of braking systems for the automotive and industrial sectors. J ob Title: Finance Lead - Indirect Taxation and GST Location: Chennai Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the GST and Indirect Taxation functions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Oversee GST returns, filings, and reconciliation, and ensure timely and accurate reporting. Manage tax audits, assessments, and disputes, ensuring a smooth and compliant process. Provide strategic guidance on indirect taxation matters for the company's business operations. Monitor changes in tax laws and proactively adjust business practices for compliance. Collaborate with internal teams to optimize tax strategies and minimize financial risk. Work closely with the finance team to ensure correct accounting of indirect taxes. Support the preparation of tax-related financial statements and reports. Qualifications: Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification. 12+ years of experience in finance, with a focus on indirect taxation and GST. Strong knowledge of Indian tax laws, especially GST, customs, and excise. Experience with tax audits, assessments, and resolving disputes. Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and lead a team effectively.
