Position: Director Academics (CBSE)

Location: Velammal Group of Schools, (City)
Experience Required: 15+ years in CBSE Schools

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic academic leadership and ensure high standards of education across the group of schools.
  • Supervise curriculum planning, teaching methodologies, and assessment processes, especially for Science stream.
  • Mentor Principals, Academic Coordinators, and faculty to maintain CBSE excellence.
  • Ensure adherence to CBSE guidelines, academic audits, and performance benchmarks.
  • Guide and oversee teacher recruitment, training, and professional development.
  • Drive innovation in pedagogy, technology integration, and student outcome improvements.
  • Represent the institution in CBSE boards, educational forums, and inspections.
  • Collaborate with management for policy formulation, school expansion, and stakeholder engagement.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must have served as Principal of a CBSE school (Science Stream) for a minimum of 5 years with a proven track record of academic excellence.
  • Must have experience as a Director / Academic Head in CBSE schools for a minimum of 2 years.
  • Mandatory prior CBSE school experience.
  • Strong background in academic leadership, student achievement improvement, and teacher development.
  • Candidate should be from South India and willing to relocate with family.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and people management skills.

Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate degree in Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or Mathematics).
  • B.Ed. / M.Ed. mandatory; Ph.D. preferred.
