Evernorth Health Services, a division of The Cigna Group is seeking a detailed-oriented Compensation and Benefits Manager, to be based at its Hyderabad Innovation Hub. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the sites compensation and benefits programs, ensuring they are competitive, compliant, and aligned with the organizations goals. This role acts as subject matter expert and provides support for the implementation and administration of employee compensation and benefit programs and policies. The role requires experience in employee benefits including absence and time away benefits, health and welfare benefits, financial wellness, and retirement benefits as well as wellbeing benefits and incentives. This position works directly with compensation & benefit vendors and outsourcing partners on plan set-up and resolution of issues. This role will help plan and assist in administering employee compensation & benefit programs and policies to align with Cigna's organizational goals, total rewards strategy and emerging legislative changes. The individual will support the administration, implementation and communication of employee compensation & benefit plans, policies and wellness programs, employee benefit related processes, policies, compliance, communication, and other related initiatives.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage and administer the companys compensation and benefits programs, including salary structures, bonuses and health insurance plans
  • Conduct research and analysis on industry standards and best practices to ensure the companys compensation and benefits packages remain competitive
  • Participate in salary surveys and benchmarking studies to ensure the companys pay practices are in line with market trends
  • Assisting employees & HR colleagues with benefit and policy related questions or issues
  • Coordinates with various C&B vendors, HR Operations and payroll on day-to-day issues and policy questions
  • Participate in all necessary testing for HRIS system coding, annual enrollment, compensation planning, policy changes etc.
  • Acting as a liaison with all vendors and outsourcing partners in the C&B space
  • Keeping up to date on legislative changes pertaining to pay and benefits practices
  • Responsible for any regulatory filings and vendor performance tracking
  • Partner with HRBPs and global C&B colleagues in implementation of annual compensation & bonus planning, STI/LTI programs
  • Provide local intelligence on career architecture design, pay ranges design and review them as needed

Communications:

  • Prepare and maintain accurate employee communications, pertaining to compensation and benefits programs, policy changes and additions
  • Assist with all-employee compensation and benefits presentations, webinars and new employee benefits orientation as needed
  • Ensure proper communication of compensation and benefits policy information on the companys intranet and external marketing for new hires/perspective candidates
  • Ensure proper communication of all C&B offerings when emailing or otherwise communicating directly with employees and managers
  • Responsible for partnering with internal/external communication resources to develop and deliver an effective communication that assist in communicating policy and engaging employees.

Qualifications Needed:

  • Minimum of 12+ years of experience in HR compensation and benefits domain, working for a large global employer strongly preferred
    • Strong working knowledge of current compensation and benefit practices and trends
    • Experience working with various compensation plans, group benefit plans; time away from work programs highly desirable
    • Knowledge of C&B laws, and regulations in India
  • Ability to manage ambiguity operating effectively, even when things are not certain, or the way forward is not clear.
  • Nimble learning ability to actively learning through experimentation when tackling new problems, using both successes and failures as learning fodder
  • Excellent oral and written communication with demonstrated presentation/facilitation skills, accuracy and thoroughness, emphasizing attention to detail. Expertise in Excel, Word and Power Point required
  • Demonstrated customer service orientation with ability to provide service and remain focused even during emotionally charged circumstances
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and exercise good judgment
  • Proactive team member with attention to detail and follow through
  • Highly organized, action oriented and able to work independently. Uses time efficiently to meet deadlines with demonstrated ability to adapt to change while consistently meeting deadlines
