TPF Lead Developer

  • Responsible for participating in the development, maintenance, enhancement, and support of Loyalty, SkyMiles and OA Loyalty Data, Award Tickets, Pay With Mile Tickets and Upgrade Management.
  • Understand business requirements in order to provide the technical design of computer software
  • Possess high level of programming expertise in C++, SabreTalk, Basic Assembler Language for the zTPF environment in order to develop and maintain computer software
  • Develop appropriate software and documentation according to Delta standards
  • Support and troubleshoot computer systems as required, optimizing performance, resolving problems, and providing timely follow up on all problems
  • Follow Delta standards and methodologies in the development and implementation of computer software
  • Works/Consults across multiple projects; functions as an informal leader
  • Responsible for providing hands on expert level assistance to junior developers for technical issues.
  • Practices safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures
  • Respects differing opinions and collaborates on creating solutions for Delta Airlines

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS):

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or Information Systems or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training in the TPF application development field. Previous airline experience ideal.
  • 7+ years Working experience and knowledge of TPF Systems, Messaging products (EDIFACT, XML) and Tools (TPFDF and IBM Toolkit/Dubugger).
  • Excellent analytical, technology, communication, decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Organized with an ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and utilize time effectively
  • Must have the ability to transform business and functional requirements into technical solutions
  • 3 -5 years of experience working in TPF Airline Reservations,Loyalty and upgrade management. Ticketing, EDIFACT Messaging, Interline Ticketing and/or TPF Airline/financial Operations application development.
  • API development Experience.
  • Experience in Agile methodologies.

WHAT WILL GIVE YOU A COMPETITIVE EDGE (PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS):

  • Ideally you will have a background in the Airline industry
  • Experience in TPF APIs, AWS, Apigee an added plus
  • Must be able toprioritizework on multiple project teams, with the overallgoal ofsatisfyingalldeploymentneeds and effectively supporting diverse clients
  • Be passionate about high quality software delivery
  • Assist in delivering constant improvement to business processes
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Embraces Diverse people, thinking and styles
