RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for participating in the development, maintenance, enhancement, and Testing of Electronic Ticketing and Electronic Miscellaneous Document applications
  • Understand functional processes to provide technical support and identify testing criteria, build test automation
  • Possess programming expertise in C++, Basic Assembler Language for the zTPF environment to understand existing processes and be able to quickly trouble shoot and triage problems.
  • Support and troubleshoot as required, optimizing performance, resolving problems, and providing timely follow up on all problems
  • Works/Consults across multiple projects; functions as an informal leader
  • Practices safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures
  • Respects differing opinions and collaborates on creating solutions for Delta Airlines

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS):

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or Information Systems or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training in the TPF application development field. Previous airline experience ideal.
  • Overall 6+ years of experience.
  • 3 -5 years of experience working in TPF Airline Reservations, Ticketing, EDIFACT Messaging, Interline
  • 3-5 years of working experience in Development Languages like Assembler, TPFC, C++, Java
  • Working experience and knowledge of TPF Systems, Messaging products (EDIFACT, XML) and Tools (TPFDF and IBM Toolkit/Dubugger).
  • Working experience of using tools like TPF Toolkit, TPFGI, Z/TPF API Tools
  • Excellent analytical, technology, communication, decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Organized with an ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and utilize time effectively
  • Must have the ability to quickly learn, understand complex airline ticketing application processes and be able to transform business and functional requirements into test scenarios
  • Ticketing and/or TPF Airline Operations application development.
  • Experience in Agile methodologies
  • Experience in creating Test scripts and test automation with a variety of tools as per the industry landscape and technologies

WHAT WILL GIVE YOU A COMPETITIVE EDGE (PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS):

  • Ideally you will have a background in the Airline industry
  • Experience in Test Automation,
  • 1-2 years experience in testing RESTful APIs to ensuring functionality, security, and performance using tools like Postman, Hoppscotch
  • Experience in performance testing and using tools like JMeter
  • Must be able toprioritizework on multiple project teams, with the overallgoal ofsatisfyingalldeploymentneeds and effectively supporting diverse clients
  • Be passionate about high quality software delivery
  • Assist in delivering constant improvement to business processes
  • High level of motivation, drive and confidence to step outside comfort zones when placed in new environment.
