Role Description

  • Legal Advisory:
    Provide day-to-day legal support and strategic advice to management and business units on commercial, regulatory, and operational matters.
  • Contract Management:
    Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts (e.g., NDAs, service agreements, licensing, procurement, distribution, joint ventures).
  • Compliance & Risk Management:
    Ensure compliance with local and international laws, including corporate, labor, anti-bribery, data privacy (e.g., GDPR), and regulatory requirements.
  • Corporate Governance:
    Support board and committee activities, including drafting board resolutions, managing corporate records, and ensuring proper governance processes.
  • Dispute Resolution:
    Manage and coordinate litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution efforts in collaboration with external counsel.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    Work closely with internal stakeholders (HR, Finance, Operations, IT, etc.) to align legal strategy with business goals.
  • M&A / Strategic Projects:
    Provide legal support for mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and other strategic initiatives as needed.
  • Policy Development:
    Develop and implement internal policies and procedures to improve legal and compliance practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) or Juris Doctor (J.D.); Master of Laws (LL.M) is a plus.
  • Licensed to practice law in (relevant jurisdiction).
  • (3–6) years of post-qualification experience, preferably with a mix of law firm and in-house corporate experience.
  • Solid understanding of corporate and commercial law.
  • Experience in contract negotiation, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong business acumen and risk management mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience:

  • Industry experience in (e.g., technology, financial services, manufacturing).
  • Familiarity with international legal frameworks.
  • Prior experience supporting cross-border operations or global teams.
