We are seeking an experienced
Mainframe System Programmer
with over 6 years of expertise in managing, configuring, and supporting IBM Mainframe environments. The candidate will be responsible for the installation, customization, maintenance, and performance tuning of z/OS systems and associated subsystems to ensure high availability, security, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, upgrade, and maintain z/OS, subsystems, and mainframe software products.
  • Perform
    system programming, performance tuning, capacity planning, and troubleshooting
    .
  • Support and manage
    mainframe storage, security, and automation tools
    .
  • Implement
    system patches, enhancements, and disaster recovery procedures
    .
  • Collaborate with application developers, DBAs, and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and provide optimization solutions.
  • Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with
    audit and security standards
    .

Required Skills:

  • Strong experience in
    z/OS, JCL, SMP/E, RACF, REXX, ISPF, and TSO
    .
  • Hands-on expertise with
    mainframe subsystems
    such as CICS, IMS, DB2, and MQ.
  • Experience in
    troubleshooting, debugging system dumps, and root cause analysis
    .
  • Knowledge of
    storage management, disaster recovery, and performance monitoring tools
    .
  • Familiarity with
    automation tools (OPS/MVS, CA-7, or equivalent)
    .
  • Good understanding of
    ITIL processes
    and production support best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
