Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Machine Learning Engineer with 2-3 years of professional experience to join our team. In this role, you will build, deploy, and optimize machine learning models for real-world applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful data-driven solutions. Key Responsibilities:
Model Development & Improvement:
Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models for a variety of applications (e.g., classification, regression, recommendation systems, etc.).
Tune and optimize models for improved performance and scalability.
Data Preprocessing & Feature Engineering:
Handle large datasets, perform data cleaning, preprocessing, and transformation to prepare data for model building.
Apply feature engineering techniques to enhance model accuracy and efficiency.
Model Evaluation & Optimization:
Evaluate model performance using appropriate metrics, ensuring models meet business objectives.
Fine-tune model hyperparameters and ensure proper validation to prevent overfitting and underfitting.
Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
Work closely with data scientists, engineers, and product teams to integrate machine learning models into production systems.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand objectives and provide insights derived from machine learning models.
Deployment & Monitoring:
Assist in deploying machine learning models into production environments and monitor their performance over time.
Continuously optimize models based on new data and performance feedback.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for models, processes, and best practices.
Present technical findings, results, and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Continuous Learning:
Stay updated with the latest advancements in machine learning, AI, and data science, and apply this knowledge to improve models and processes.
Participate in knowledge-sharing activities, including code reviews, technical discussions, and mentoring junior engineers.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
Experience:
2-3 years of hands-on experience in machine learning, with a focus on model development, optimization, and deployment.
Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, data preprocessing, and feature engineering.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java.
Experience with popular machine learning libraries and frameworks, such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, Scikit-learn, or XGBoost.
Proficiency in working with data manipulation tools (e.g., Pandas, NumPy) and databases (SQL).
Experience with model deployment in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus.
Skills & Abilities:
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently on technical challenges.
Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex models and results to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
Desirable:
Experience with deep learning, natural language processing (NLP), or computer vision is a plus.
