The Opportunity:
ECI has an exciting opportunity for Security Operations Center (SOC) Team Lead, responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of a security operations center and overseeing monitoring, analysis of security events, alerts, and incidents. The candidate for this role is expected to have a deep understanding of security best practices, threat intelligence, and incident response procedures, as well as a strong technical background and should be able to handle client calls. Act as subject matter expert on various security tools and technologies along with handling critical security incidents/breaches. You will perform tasks including research, SIEM content development, threat hunting, collaborating with vendor support, configuration changes on various security tools and technologies.
This is an onsite role.
What you will do:
Administration and management of SIEM and other security devices such as EDR, email gateway, web security etc., Overseeing the monitoring, detection, analysis, and response to security incidents and threats. Prioritizing the queue to address accordingly in timely fashion. Own any P/P cases and work closely with associated stakeholders until closure keeping SLA in mind. Conducting investigations into security incidents and determining the scope and impact, identifying the root cause, and implementing remediation steps. Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, such as IT teams, vendors, and clients to respond to security incidents. Interact with clients on call when needed to address any queries/concerns raised. Handle monthly client calls independently. Staying current with emerging security threats and trends Lead Threat hunt & Content Development activities from front. Involve and take ownership of the development and implementation of security policies, procedures, and controls. Continuously refining and improving the SOC's incident response processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Representing the SOC and serving as a subject matter expert for security incidents and threatsWho you are:
+ years’ experience in the IT security industry, preferably working in a SOC environment Bachelor’s or master’s in computer science/IT/Electronics Engineering, or equivalent University degree Certifications: CCNA, CCSP, CEH, CHFI, Any SIEM related Certifications Hands-on experience with Security Information Event Management (SIEM) tools, EDR, Email Gateway, SOAR, creating advance co-relation rules, administration of SIEM, system hardening, threat hunting and Vulnerability Assessment Should have expertise on TCP/IP network traffic and event log analysis Expertise on various SIEM tools, implementation and log source on-boarding Knowledge of ITIL disciplines such as Incident, Problem and Change Management Strong verbal and written English communication Strong interpersonal and presentation skills Ability to work independently Driving SOC initiatives Willingness to work in a job that involves xx operations Shift management and schedulingBonus points if you have:
