Embedded System Validation Engineer(Infotainment)

JOB SUMMARY
In this role, you will be responsible for the validation of displays and gauges software at either a component or sub-system level. Your primary responsibility will be the planning, development and execution of tests; and the analysis of the test results. You will also be expected to support continuous improvement activities within the organization and specifically in support of our test environment. Assignments may be independent or with a small team of validation engineers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with technical leaders to define validation scope and schedules.
Review and understand component and sub-systems requirements in the context of the vehicle system architecture.
Design test cases and develop test scripts for manual and automated tests.
Setup, execute, analyze the results of the tests, and report results to stakeholders.
Manage multiple validation schedules and projects simultaneously.
Perform debugging of test setups and displays and gauges software.Provide regular status reports to technical and project leaders.
Required Skills/Experience:
B.S. or higher in Engineering required, prefer Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering; would consider candidates with a B.S. or higher in Computer Science, Physics, or Mathematics with applicable experience in an automotive related software testing role.
Understanding of automotive infotainment systems architectures.Experience with vehicle communication protocols required, CAN/J1939/UDS preferred.
Experience with wireless communications (Bluetooth, Bluetooth LE and Wi-F
i)
Experience with Vector Tools (CANalyzer, CANoe).
Experience using a requirements management system.
Skills/Experience:
Strong debugging skills.Experience with lifecycle management software (e.g. Jama, Codebeamer, TestRail, PTC Integrity/Windchill PLM ,)
Experience with Agile development methodology.
Experience with Atlassian tools (ie. Confluence and Jira).
Experience with automated test development, CAPL and object-oriented programming.
Understanding of connected systems.
Understanding of hardware environmental requirements and tests.
Ability to troubleshoot test hardware and wire harnesses using scopes and multimeters.

Help to design new test systems or upgrades to support additional testing.
Provide input to software improvements and design.
