Description
We are seeking a skilled Oracle DBA with 3 to 5 years of experience to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in database administration and will be responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of our Oracle databases. As an integral part of our organization, you will ensure the availability and reliability of our database environments while providing support for application development and production processes. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement database solutions that meet business needs. The successful applicant will have experience in managing database migrations, updates, and installations, as well as monitoring and optimizing database performance. This role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving, ensuring that databases are functioning at peak efficiency and managing backup and recovery processes. The Oracle DBA will also play a vital role in capacity planning and tuning for maximum performance, making this a challenging yet rewarding position for someone looking to grow their career in database administration.
Responsibilities
Manage and maintain Oracle databases, ensuring high availability and performance.
Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
Implement backup and recovery strategies to protect data.
Perform installations, upgrades, and migrations of Oracle database environments.
Collaborate with development teams to create and optimize SQL queries and database structures.
Conduct capacity planning and performance tuning for existing databases.
Ensure database security by implementing access controls and monitoring for vulnerabilities.
