Role Description

This is a
remote, unpaid internship
role for a
WordPress Developer Intern
. The intern will be responsible for assisting in both front-end and back-end web development tasks. Day-to-day tasks include designing and developing responsive web designs, implementing web development projects, and supporting the team in achieving overall project goals. The intern will gain
hands-on experience
with web technologies and work in a
collaborative environment
.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of WordPress (core, themes, plugins, hooks, filters, REST API).
  • Hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
  • Familiarity with MySQL database management.
  • Experience in payment gateway integration and SMTP configuration.
  • Understanding of API integrations and webhooks
  • Knowledge of responsive web design and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Basic understanding of SEO optimization and website security best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

Additional Skills

  • Knowledge of WooCommerce and e-commerce setups.
  • Familiarity with cPanel, domain management, and DNS configurations.
  • Experience with Git or other version control systems.
  • Understanding of basic hosting and server management.
