Job Summary:

About the Role:

We’re looking for an experienced Sr. Accounts Manager (CA) to oversee all aspects of finance and accounts, including receivables/payables, GST compliance, trial balances, inventory management, foreign remittances, and financial reporting. This role requires a proactive leader who can collaborate across departments, drive efficiency, and ensure accurate reporting and compliance.


Key Responsibilities

1. Accounts Receivables and Payables Management

  • Oversee and manage the accounts receivable and payable processes.
  • Ensure timely collection of receivables and adherence to payment schedules.
  • Conduct regular ledger scrutiny to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Monitor and address outstanding balances to ensure adherence to agreed payment terms.

2. Financial Reporting and Compliance

  • Prepare and present financial reports in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain and review trial balances regularly.
  • Oversee GST filings and ensure compliance with all applicable tax and regulatory frameworks.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all financial documentation.

3. Inventory and Foreign Remittance Management

  • Manage and account for inventory, specifically reefer and dry containers.
  • Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of inventory levels.
  • Supervise and handle foreign remittance processes in compliance with applicable regulations.

4. Audit Coordination and Financial Strategy

  • Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to all accounting standards and regulations.
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations based on financial data analysis to enhance profitability and cost efficiency.

5. Leadership and Cross-Departmental Collaboration

  • Lead and mentor the accounts team, fostering a culture of productivity and professional growth.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support financial planning, decision-making, and budget allocation.
  • Promote cross-functional cooperation to achieve organisational goals.


Qualifications

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) certification is mandatory.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5–7 years of experience in accounting or finance, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Proficient in accounting software (Tally is mandatory) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
