About the Role :

A Senior Executive - Credit Operations will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and

effective processing, management, and monitoring of credit operations within the company.

This position involves working closely with the credit team to manage loan disbursements,

portfolio management, and adherence to regulatory guidelines. The candidate will have a

strong understanding of microfinance operations, excellent attention to detail, and the ability

to handle complex data in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and process loan applications, ensuring all required documents are complete and meet the company's credit policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Verify customer eligibility and assess risk levels, in collaboration with the credit assessment team.
  • Maintain and update client records in the system.
  • Ensure all loan disbursement processes adhere to company policies and legal standards.
  • Facilitate the disbursement of approved loans, ensuring timely and accurate transfer of funds to clients.
  • Generate reports on loan status, repayment progress, and arrears.
  • Assist in the preparation of credit risk reports for senior management.
  • Ensure all loan documents are accurately maintained, up-to-date, and compliant with regulatory and internal standards.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information related to credit operations.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines and company policies regarding credit assessments and loan processing.
  • Provide assistance to clients in understanding the loan process, repayment schedules, and any issues they may encounter.
  • Address customer inquiries related to their loan accounts and assist in resolving any concerns or disputes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of credit transactions and related activities.
  • Prepare periodic reports for senior management on key credit metrics and operational performance.
  • Coordinate with the IT team for system updates and troubleshooting related to credit operations.
  • Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of credit operations.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, or related field.
  • A professional certification in credit management or microfinance is a plus.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in credit operations, loan processing, or microfinance.
  • Familiarity with microfinance products, credit assessments, loan disbursements, and collections.
  • Experience with financial software and database management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations governing microfinance operations is an advantage.
