Role Overview:

The Purchase Executive will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring raw materials, packaging materials and indirect supplies required for food processing operations. The role ensures cost-effectiveness, quality, timely availability and compliance with food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Source and procure raw materials, ingredients, packaging materials and consumables as per production requirements.

Develop and maintain a robust vendor base.

Evaluate & onboard new suppliers.

Negotiate pricing, payment terms and contracts with suppliers.

Ensure timely purchase order placement and monitor delivery schedules to avoid production delays.

Coordinate with Production, Quality and Finance teams to align procurement with operational needs.

Maintain vendor database, price trends and purchase records.

Ensure vendor compliance with food safety standards (FSSAI, HACCP, GMP).

Conduct vendor audits with Quality teams.

Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimum stock without overstocking or shortages.

Support cost reduction and process improvement initiatives in the supply chain.

Coordinate with Accounts for timely vendor payment and reconciliation.

Knowledge of:

Food raw materials, packaging and consumables.

Familiarity with Food Safety standards (FSSAI, HACCP, GMP, GHP).

Key Skills:

Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.

Cost optimization mindset.

Proficiency in ERP/MS Excel.

Strong communication, teamwork and problem-solving ability.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹ ₹33,000.00 per month
