Job Description & Summary

Celestial Aerospace is developing a breakthrough hydrogen-lift rocket system. We are hiring a GNC Engineer with expertise in
trajectory optimization, control algorithms, navigation filters, and flight dynamics simulations
. The candidate should have hands-on experience in
modeling, simulation, and control of aerospace vehicles
and be able to integrate with multidisciplinary teams in propulsion, aerodynamics, and structures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement GNC algorithms for ascent, staging, and orbital insertion.
  • Design and test flight control laws for attitude stability and trajectory shaping.
  • Work with aerodynamics and propulsion teams to integrate system-level dynamics.
  • Perform high-fidelity simulations (MATLAB/Simulink, Python, C++).
  • Conduct Monte Carlo analyses for robustness and dispersions.
  • Support hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and flight software testing.

Mandatory Skill Sets

  • Strong background in flight mechanics, dynamics, and control theory.
  • Experience with simulation tools: MATLAB/Simulink, Python, C++, or LabVIEW.
  • Knowledge of guidance algorithms, state estimation, and navigation filters (e.g., EKF, UKF).
  • Familiarity with actuator/sensor dynamics and integration.
  • Hands-on experience in aerospace trajectory optimization and stability analysis.
  • Exposure to hardware-in-loop testing and embedded implementation preferred.

Experience

  • 5+ in aerospace GNC, flight dynamics, or control engineering.
  • Prior project/internship experience in rockets, UAVs, or spacecraft control systems.

Education Qualification

  • M.Tech / MS in Aerospace Engineering/ Astrodynamics (Flight Dynamics / Controls focus)
