We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our athenaCollector team.

In athenaCollector we build technology solutions that automate (RCM) Revenue Cycle Management. This Collector team is implementing the underlying medical back-office processes to automate and integrate the unique claims cycle requirements.The successful candidate will have proven experience in building teams and attracting talent, developing career paths, and fostering a culture of innovation in similar high performing teams.

The Team: The athenaCollector product builds a critical part of the athenaOne platform, which helps our medical provider clients manage their business and revenue cycle (RCM), automating claims and billing for well over $200 billion in client revenue. This Zone is committed building new and exciting capabilities to improve how we help health practices collect the right patient insurance, understand eligibility benefits, improve cost transparency, drive effective billing workflows and offer flexible payment solutions. This team is focused on making the billing and payment process simple, transparent and flexible for both healthcare practices and their patients.

Education, Experience, & Skills Required:4-8 years of experience in an engineering roleStrong knowledge of Java, Spring Boot.Experience in Cloud Devops preferably AWSExposure to relational database technologies, RESTful API and Modern JS frameworks (React JS)Experience in an Agile environment preferredBachelor’s Degree or equivalent

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:(Primary Function) Technical ExecutionProduce accurate, unambiguous technical design specifications to the appropriate detailDeliver customer value in the form of high quality software components and services in adherence with RPR policies on Security, performance, longevity and Integration testingEstimate the size of development tasks in story points with the goal of 80% accuracy; begin to challenge others during estimationUnderstand and follow coding conventions, architectures, and best practicesWrite, debug, and deploy code to production; deliver timely fixesAdhere to DOD (story definition of done) as part of the sprint, including unit tests, functional testing, code reviews, no regressions, bug fixes, documentation and adhere to best coding practicesPerform peer code reviews in order to ensure quality standards.Contributions to the TeamMaster the domain knowledge for area of assignmentTake ownership of what the team builds after the release; consider customer adoption as success criteriaContribute to agile ceremonies to improve team performanceVolunteer for work in the backlog and commit to quality delivery; Coordinate efforts across the team to ensure completion and effectivenessParticipate and contribute to scrum meetings i.e. daily stand-up, sprint planning, readouts and retrospectivesDrive self-organization; help determine how the team functions in collaboration with your peersCross functional Coordination and CommunicationWork collaboratively across the Technology and Product organizations to ensure alignment towards business goalsBuilds strong relationships with cross-functional team membersShare business and technical learnings with the broader engineering and product organization, while adapting approach for different audiencesMentorship of OthersAdvise and train members of the team to maximize overall productivity and effectiveness of the team.
