Lead Optomechanical Design Engineer with a focus on Simulation Analysis plays a critical role in the design, development, and optimization of opto-mechanical systems and components. The engineer uses simulation tools to model and analyze the performance of these systems, ensuring they meet specified requirements.
Design & Development:
Design opto-mechanical systems, components, and assemblies for various applications.
Develop 3D models and detailed drawings using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software.
Select appropriate materials, components, and manufacturing processes for opto-mechanical systems.
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical, mechanical, and software design elements.
Simulation & Analysis:
Use simulation tools (such as ANSYS ) to carry out the FEM analysis of opto-mechanical systems and analyse their performance under various operating conditions.
Conduct thermal, structural, electromagnetic, and fluid flow simulations to validate designs and optimize system behaviour.
Perform stress analysis and fatigue testing to ensure reliability and longevity of components and systems.
Conduct failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) and other risk assessments to identify potential issues in design.
Testing & Optimization:
Develop test plans and procedures for prototype systems and components.
Work with prototype teams to build and test systems, ensuring they meet performance and safety standards.
Analyse test data and iterate designs to improve efficiency, cost, and performance
Qualifications
B.E./B.Tech/MTech in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering
Proficient in Solidworks
Strong organizational and communication skills
3+ years’ experience in Mechanical designing & simulation analysis
