We're seeking a seasoned Senior Public Relations Manager who's ready to take our communications strategy to the next level. As the face of our company to the outside world, you'll be responsible for crafting and executing comprehensive PR initiatives that enhance our corporate reputation and drive positive engagement across various platforms. As the Senior Public Relations Manager, you'll be at the forefront of our communications efforts, leveraging your expertise to shape our brand narrative, manage crisis effectively, and build strong relationships with media outlets and stakeholders. Your strategic mindset, coupled with your exceptional communication skills, will be instrumental in positioning our organization as a leader in the industry.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the PR team and the other business stakeholders to close the monthly PR calendar
  • Develop PR and communication strategies for the organisation, products & individual functions
  • Liaison and collaborate with internal stakeholders and PR agency
  • Co-Develop brand messaging, manage company public relations archives, oversee and help in execution of events
  • Evaluate results of the PR campaign to ensure it is in sync with the key messaging
  • Must be able to identify PR opportunities for the company or create stories to ensure the company is in the news
  • Liaison with functional heads and senior leadership to meet all PR requirements
  • Must be able to develop PR communication - press releases, articles, letters, Q&As, profiles etc. Experience in handling PR agency, third party vendors as well as key internal stakeholders to deliver the PR goals
  • Identify speaking opportunities for senior executives and provide support in the form of speeches and talking points.
  • Create effective and especially well-crafted communications, in impeccable english
  • Responsible for the external media focused written communications such as media pitches, press releases, press notes, briefing documents, by-line articles, keynote presentations/speeches, coverage reports, media responses, interview bytes, etc.
  • Manage and track the output of the external agencies

Functional Competencies:

  • PR Strategy Development: Ability to develop comprehensive PR and communication strategies aligned with organizational goals, product launches, and individual function objectives.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Proven experience in liaising and collaborating with internal stakeholders and external PR agencies, media houses to ensure alignment and execution of PR initiatives.
  • Brand Messaging: Co-develop brand messaging and ensure consistent representation across all communication channels, including management of company public relations archives.
  • Campaign Evaluation: Proficiency in evaluating the results of PR campaigns to measure effectiveness and ensure alignment with key messaging and organizational goals.
  • Media Relations: Strong ability to identify PR opportunities, create compelling stories, and effectively engage with media outlets to ensure the organization remains visible in the news.
  • Content Creation & Communications Management: Proficiency in crafting and managing external media-focused written communications such as media pitches, press releases, press no1tes, briefing documents, by-line articles, keynote presentations/speeches, coverage reports, media responses, and interview bytes, with impeccable English language skills.

Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate degree or diploma in Communications/Marketing preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in corporate communications, reputation management, and crisis communication.
  • Strong understanding of the media landscape with existing relationships at editorial levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a flair for storytelling.
  • Proven track record of strategic thinking and flawless execution of PR initiatives
  • Ability to interact and manage stakeholders effectively, both internally and externally.
  • Proficiency in identifying and collaborating with external partners and agencies.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects with ease.
