Role Description The position of Head of Unit, based in Thrissur, is responsible for overseeing and managing all operations of the unit, including Production, Quality Control & Assurance, Maintenance, Purchase, and HR functions. The role involves supervising cross-functional teams, driving strategic initiatives, and monitoring overall unit performance to ensure operational excellence and compliance with established standards. The Head of Unit will also be responsible for fostering a productive and positive work culture, optimizing resources, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve organizational goals.. Qualifications Strong leadership, team management, and decision-making abilities, with a focus on driving operational excellence. Proven expertise in manufacturing operations, including production planning, process improvement, and resource optimization, escpecially in Food industry. Proficiency in strategic planning, organizational development, and ensuring smooth coordination across production, quality, maintenance, purchase, and HR functions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and senior management. Experience in performance monitoring, regulatory compliance, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Sound understanding of Ayurvedic manufacturing processes or similar Food / Pharma production environments will be an added advantage. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Production Management with 10 years of experience Prior experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing setup, with demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and adaptability skills, with a results-oriented mindset.
