   Develop corporate vision for environment stewardship, governance framework (principles, policy, objectives, Standards, guidelines, procedures, etc.) for sustainable development.

   Provide subject matter expert leadership for the development and implementation of best practices and innovative approaches related to environment, sustainability, and risk management.

   Collaborate with the respective stakeholders and develop / maintain requirements related to environment areas within the OMS framework.

   Develop and drive implementation of environmental management systems to attain industry leadership position by coordinating with all relevant stakeholders to adopt best practices and technologies for global industry benchmarks.

   Monitor the effectiveness of implementation of the appropriate requirements (Policies, Process, Procedures and Guides) and provide for their updating in line with changes in laws, regulations, and corporate directives.

   Establish objectives and milestones to achieve short and long-term goals, embedding our strategy within the functional areas and drive towards net zero path in Carbon intensity.

   Monitor, track, and report environmental indicators and create dashboards and reporting to track performance for various audiences (employees, Executives & Board level).

   Lead assurance projects associated with systems implementations, business process transformation projects and external audits.

   Develop environmental performance improvement initiatives, or strategies in collaboration with stakeholders in environment, technology, business, operations, and reliability.

   Conduct environment related risk assessments through engagement of cross functional stakeholders and develop the appropriate strategies to address the risks and their potential impacts. 

   Benchmark the companys initiatives and performance against peers and support the leadership in quantifying impact and develop roadmaps for improving performance.

   Conduct impact assessments to identify, assess and mitigate environmental risks in the areas of: 

o   Air quality monitoring ambient air, stack and fugitive emissions monitoring, Air pollution control techniques

o   GHG monitoring, accounting, and reporting

o   Water conservation techniques

o   Wastewater treatment technologies/ wastewater monitoring procedures

o   Hazardous waste management- storage, transportation, and disposal

o   Lifecycle assessment

o   Biodiversity Conservation and Sustainable Natural Resource Management

o   Pollution Prevention and Resource Efficiency
