  • Develop and maintain demand forecasts for various product categories and SKUs based on historical data, market trends, and customer insights.
  • Utilize forecasting models, statistical techniques, and software tools to generate accurate demand projections.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance teams to incorporate market intelligence and promotional activities into demand forecasts.
  • Translate demand forecasts into inventory plans to ensure optimal stock levels while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Monitor inventory levels, sales trends, and product life cycles to identify potential Work closely with procurement and production teams to align inventory plans with production schedules and supplier lead times.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, operations, and finance, to gather inputs and align on demand forecasts and inventory plans.
  • Communicate demand forecasts and inventory recommendations to internal stakeholders and external partners to facilitate decision-making and planning.
  • Monitor and analyze demand forecast accuracy, inventory turns, and other key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous optimization.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of forecast errors and implement corrective actions to enhance forecast accuracy and reliability.


Qualifications:

  • 4 – 8 years of experience in demand planning, inventory management, or supply chain management, preferably in the food distribution / export industry.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in statistical analysis, forecasting techniques, and demand planning software/tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic mindset and ability to think critically and creatively to solve complex problems.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems (NAV), and demand planning software.
