Job Title: Senior Executive – Manager
As Student Placement Officer you will play a key role in facilitating the transition of students from education to employment & work closely with students, employers, and academic departments to ensure successful internships, placements, or full-time employment for students.
Location: Bengaluru
Department: Career Services / Placement Cell / Student Affairs
Required Qualifications and skill set:
- Education : Any Bachelor's / Master’s degree
- Experience : Minimum 5 years of Previous experience in student career services, HR, recruitment, or placement coordination is preferred.
Skills :
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Networking and relationship management abilities.
- Familiarity with labour market trends and recruitment processes.
Key Competencies:
- Empathy & Student-Centric Focus : Understanding the diverse needs and career aspirations of students.
- Negotiation & Persuasion : Effectively engaging with companies to secure better placement opportunities for students.
- Teamwork : Collaborating with academic departments and external stakeholders for smooth placement processes.
- Problem Solving : Addressing challenges faced by students during placement and guiding them toward solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with companies for campus recruitment drives, internships, job fairs, and placement-related activities
- Establish and nurture relationships with a wide network of employers and industry contacts.
- Identify and secure placement opportunities for students across various industries.
- Coordinating Student Placement Activities: by Organize on-campus and off-campus recruitment drives, job fairs, career fairs, and networking events.
- Develop marketing materials and strategies to promote placement services to students and potential employers. Use social media, websites, and newsletters to share success stories, job openings, and event information with the student body.
- Work closely with faculty and academic departments to align placement activities with the curriculum and industry needs.
- Assist students in developing soft skills, technical skills, and a professional attitude to improve employability.
- Organize career development workshops, webinars, and mock interviews.
- Placement Data Management:
- Ensure that placement activities reflect the skills and knowledge acquired through academic programs.
- Stay updated on employment trends, recruitment best practices, and labor market demands.
