Performance Test Engineer

Job Description
• Create performance test strategy estimates based on scope, requirements, and timelines
• Preparing and executing the implementation of test strategies as defined by entrance and exit criteria
• Design, Develop and execute load testing scripts using Jmeter.
• React to changing project plans and produce creative, alternative solutions to keep the project on track
• Work in a collaborative team-oriented environment using and implementing best practices with respect to load generation, bottleneck analysis, usage of modeling tools and statistical analysis
• Effectively implement performance testing in an agile development environment
• Develop and design technical performance scenarios based on our business and functional requirements
• Producing high-quality performance automated test cases to meet all project deadlines and ensuring the system is scalable
• Analyze and resolve issues found during the testing or pre-production phases of the software delivery lifecycle; coordinate changes with project team leaders and cross-work team members
• Interacts with data architects, other tech leads, team members and project manager as required addressing technical and scheduling issues.
• Assist in building and maintaining PE testing environments What you bring to the table:
• Minimum of 5-6 years’ experience with performance testing, tuning, and analysis
• Hand on experience of at least 2-3 years in database and SQL queries for analyzing and triaging bottlenecks
• Should be able to read the code snippets in order to understand and review the logic.
• Must have a strong knowledge of enterprise application architecture and technologies experience
• Must have hand on experience and working knowledge of Jmeter for doing performance testing of Web application and APIs.
• Object orientated programming experience of at least one language for the automation of load testing (examples: Net, Java, Apache, java script or python)
• Must be familiar with load test scripts in the different protocols
• Must be able to perform in-depth analysis of load tests both in real-time test execution and in post-run review in order to test validity of APIs, triage failures, report on any performance issues and identify and provide recommendations on next steps
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be familiar with real-time, user-facing testing methodologies and approaches
• Must have minimum of 3 years of strong understanding of monitoring solutions and KPIs for lo
