Your Job The Supervisor – Singapore & Philippines Payroll Operations is responsible for overseeing end-to-end payroll execution, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing for the Singapore & Philippines employee populations. This role provides day-to-day leadership to the payroll team, resolves complex operational issues, strengthens process controls, and partners closely with Business HR, Finance, and other internal HR Solutions teams. The supervisor plays a critical role in building operational excellence, improving customer experience, and driving process improvements across both locations. Our Team Koch is seeking a detail-oriented Supervisor Payroll- Operations APAC to join our Payroll team. In this role, you’ll ensure accurate and timely compliance with federal, state and local payroll tax requirements, support year-end processing, and partner closely with Payroll Operations, Finance, and external advisors to optimize our tax processes. What You Will Do Lead and supervise the Singapore and Philippines payroll operations team, ensuring high-quality execution of all payroll activities. Oversee the end-to-end payroll lifecycle, including validations, inputs, reconciliations, statutory compliance, approvals, and disbursements. Ensure payroll processing adheres to local Singapore & Philippines’ regulations, internal controls, audit requirements, and company standards. Serve as the primary escalation point for payroll issues, customer concerns, and process discrepancies. Partner closely with HR Operations, Business HR, Finance, and Compliance teams to address payroll queries and resolve exceptions. Support customer engagements and ensure SLAs and quality metrics are consistently met. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and automation opportunities in collaboration with internal teams. Mentor, coach, and develop team members to build technical depth and improve performance. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, HR, or a related field. 8+ years of payroll experience, with 4+ years in a supervisory or senior role. Strong knowledge of Singapore and/or Philippines payroll regulations, statutory requirements, and payroll operations. What Will Put You Ahead Prior experience supervising payroll teams in a shared services or multi-country environment. Deep understanding of Singapore & Philippines’ labor laws, statutory contributions, and compliance requirements. Hands-on experience with payroll platforms (e.g., ADP, Workday, SAP, Paymaster or equivalent). Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage with HR, Finance, and customer leadership. Proven ability to manage tight deadlines, high-volume periods, and complex payroll scenarios. Experience in process optimization, quality control, and audit readiness. Strong analytical skills, especially with payroll data and reporting. Additionally, everyone has individual work and personal needs.
