Position Overview:

The Head of Portfolio is responsible for managing 110+ startup companies in terms of regular monitoring of their performances through MIS calls and keeping the investors updated about the happenings in these startups. The ultimate goal is to get healthy exits for the investors for the portfolio companies.

  1. Managing portfolio of 110+ startup companies

  2. Leveraging the JIIF investor and JITO network - Business and strategic Connects.

  3. Ecosystem connects - to optimally manage startups – Debt, Short Term Loans, Business Connects.

  4. Networking with other verticals of JITO.

Primary responsibilities:

A. Reporting

  1. Pass on information/data on the startup performance (revenue, compliance etc) to the investors. This is done via calls to each startup every quarter + data provided by them. (MIS shared by startups and Minutes of the call along with recording)

  2. Transparent & timely reporting to the management on the startups funding/work profile etc.

  3. Adhoc requirement from Startups investors and Internally for JITO reporting

  4. Financials, Valuation Reports, AGM and other meetings, Details related to Uprounds reporting

B. Risk Management

  1. Investor portfolio management – data on the number of investors including the amount invested & number of startups

  2. Board representation for investors/JIIF in all startups funded through JIIF.

  3. Guidance to the startups on business risks, pivots, etc.

  4. Negotiating and protecting rights of the investors during Uprounds

C. Support

  1. Help on closing compliances related to investors. (Shorter notices, Approvals on AVMs, etc)

  2. Connect startups with other funding agencies (VC/Investment banks etc.) to raise more fund for startups. Meet with funding agencies/attend VC PE events/

  3. Closing transaction documents

  4. Maintain the updated data on SCIP.

D. Strategies

  1. Exit Opportunity for Investors

  2. Possible collaboration for startups

  3. Increase startup level and investor level engagement

Qualifications:

Education:

  • CA with 3-5 years of portfolio management experience or IB experience or a CS with 5-7 years of experience in similar industry.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Entrepreneurial background or experience operating within a startup.
  • Deep networks in venture capital, technology, and innovation hubs.
  • Passion for technology, innovation, and startup culture.
