Job Description: DSP/FPGA Engineer – Satellite Hub (MCD Redesign)

We are seeking a skilled
DSP/FPGA Engineer
to lead the redesign of our next-generation
Multi-Carrier Demodulator (MCD)
for high-performance satellite communication hubs. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge
satellite hub architecture
, leveraging advanced digital signal processing and FPGA design for next-gen satcom systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement
    DVB-S2X / LDPC demodulator pipelines
    capable of
    100+ Mbps throughput
    .
  • Develop and integrate modulation schemes ranging from
    QPSK to 32APSK
    , with support for
    Adaptive Coding and Modulation (ACM)
    .
  • Optimize FPGA architectures for
    multi-carrier MF-TDMA scheduling
    and high-throughput processing.
  • Collaborate with the
    AI/ML optimization team
    to enhance
    carrier allocation, signal quality, and spectral efficiency
    .
  • Contribute to system-level architecture decisions, ensuring scalability, robustness, and low-latency performance.
  • Perform simulation, prototyping, and validation using industry-standard tools.

Required Qualifications

  • 3–6 years
    of hands-on experience in
    FPGA/DSP design
    within satellite communications or wireless domains.
  • Strong expertise in
    VHDL/Verilog
    and FPGA platforms (
    Xilinx, Intel/Altera
    ).
  • Deep understanding of
    DVB-S2X
    , channel coding techniques (
    LDPC, Turbo, BCH
    ), and error correction strategies.
  • Experience with
    digital modulation/demodulation
    , synchronization, and adaptive coding.
  • Proficiency with
    GNU Radio, MATLAB/Simulink
    , or equivalent DSP simulation tools.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with
    high-throughput FPGA optimization
    and multi-carrier designs.
  • Familiarity with
    satellite hub systems, MF-TDMA schedulers, and traffic shaping
    .
  • Exposure to
    AI/ML-driven signal processing
    or optimization frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
