Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Data & Technology Manager within Global Tax, you will enhance data and processes utilizing digital skills, build visualizations, and support specific tax systems and applications, especially SharePoint and Microsoft Power Platform. As an experienced professional, you will lead or support tax projects and initiatives to deliver technology advancements and efficient solutions. The role will challenge you to combine technical and business knowledge to complete a high-quality work product and demonstrate critical thinking skills that leads to recommended actions.

The preference for this role is to be based out of Whitefield Office, Bangalore, India

What you will do

Job Roles and Responsibilities

Oversee the administration, maintenance, and resolution of user issues of tax related applications and systems with a focus on Microsoft Products Lead application/system enhancement projects and coordinating internal and external resources Perform integrated testing and lead customer acceptance testing of components that requires careful planning and execution to ensure timely, quality results. Explore and implement new technology offerings and data sources to advance the digital skills and efficiencies of the tax department, such as Snowflake Design, implement, and maintain SharePoint sites and dashboards & visualizations. Accomplish a high level of technical analysis of data, analyze various outputs, advise others (inside and outside of tax), resolve data issues and effectively communicate outcomes. Work with business partners to understand informational needs and dive into data to identify insights, ultimately driving sound business decisions.

Candidates will have:

Subject matter expertise on data, processes, reports, and systems of financial or management reporting Experience with advanced excel, power BI and powerpoint presentations. Ability to quickly learn Caterpillar management reporting methodology and knowledge about products, suppliers, and consumers.

What you will have

he position typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, IT, or business related degree and 8-10 years of progressively responsible job related experience. Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts; corresponds with a global audience and avoids technical jargon when communicating with business partners Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches and tools for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving problems; ability to document and convey resolution alternatives with understanding of stakeholder perspectives. Analytical Thinking: Ability to identify root cause of problems based on prior experience and current research; organizes and prioritizes the sequence of steps to be taken to remedy a situation. Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; demonstrates expertise in quality assurance tools, techniques, and standards. Strong knowledge of M365, specifically SharePoint & Microsoft Power Platform Aptitude for process design and technology, with a focus on controls Self-starter, able to work independently and adaptable to changing priorities. Collaborative and team-oriented personality with ability to build and foster relationships throughout the organization. Understanding of accounting, business processes, financial systems and enterprise operations Shift Timings- 01:00-10PM IST

Financial Research Analysis : Knowledge of the concepts, methodologies and methods of research analysis; ability to locate, interpret and evaluate research findings compiled and documented by others.
Level Working Knowledge:
• Researches and evaluates materials that are related to a research topic, under the guidance of a supervisor.
• Reports on validity, relevance and accuracy issues.
• Implements basic research analysis methods and techniques.
• Uses published information to support new research.
• Adheres to an organization's research analysis standards
