About the Role:


We are seeking a skilled Salesforce CPQ & Billing Developer to design, implement, and optimize solutions to be deployed in Quote-to-Cash (QTC) processes. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop scalable, high-performance Salesforce CPQ and Billing solutions. You will provide hands-on technical expertise, ensuring successful integration with other enterprise systems while maintaining best practices for Salesforce system architecture, configuration, and customization.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Solution Design & Development

 

  • Design and develop end-to-end Salesforce CPQ & Billing solutions to support pricing, quoting, order management, and invoicing processes.
  • Configure and customize Salesforce CPQ and Billing features, including Product Bundles, Price Rules, Discounting, Quote Templates, QCP , Approvals, Billing rules, Tax Rules, Invoice Schedulers, Consumption Schedules,…
  • Develop and maintain custom Apex, LWC, Flows, and integrations with external systems.
  • Develop Salesforce Data Models and APIs to support integration with downstream systems such as ERPs (Oracle, NetSuite), Revenue Recognition systems (RecVue, Zuora), Provisioning systems, and BI tools.
  • Develop custom scripts to handle complex data migrations into Salesforce CPQ and Billing, following major business events such as M&As.

 

Technical Leadership & Project Execution

 

  • Translate business requirements into scalable and well-architected technical solutions.
  • Lead technical design sessions, document solutions, and align development with best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve CPQ and Billing-related issues, ensuring platform stability and accuracy.
  • Conduct testing (unit, regression, and UAT) to validate solutions before deployment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, Sales, Finance, and RevOps, to optimize Quote-to-Cash processes.

 

System Administration & Users Support

 

  • Maintain and enhance Salesforce CPQ and Billing configurations to meet evolving business needs.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy across pricing, quoting, and billing modules.
  • Monitor platform performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system efficiency.
  • Implement security and compliance best practices for data governance and system access.
  • Support monthly financial close processes by ensuring accurate billing and revenue recognition.
  • Conduct user training and create documentation for end-users and administrators.

 

Strategic Initiatives within Strata Innovation and Technology Hub:

 

  • Contribute to internal strategic initiatives such as product development, AI-powered prebuilt agents, technical research, and innovation in Quote-to-Cash automation.
  • Engage in proof-of-concept (POC) projects for emerging Salesforce technologies, including Revenue Lifecycle Management (RLM) and AI-driven automation for CPQ and Billing.
  • Develop and publish technical articles, best practices, and solution accelerators to enhance knowledge sharing within the organization.
  • Collaborate on building custom accelerators and reusable assets to optimize CPQ and Billing implementations.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends by researching and experimenting with new Salesforce features and integrations to drive continuous improvement.

 

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

 

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Salesforce CPQ & Billing development and implementation.
  • Expertise in Salesforce configuration (Products, Price Rules, Discount Schedules, Approval Processes, Quote Templates).
  • Strong knowledge of Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Triggers, Flows, and REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce CPQ plugins and QCPs.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Informatica for data migration and transformation.
  • Experience with integration tools like Boomi and MuleSoft
  • Experience with Quote-to-Cash workflows, including pricing strategies, contract amendments, and renewals.
  • Ability to design scalable and high-performance Salesforce solutions that align with best practices.
  • Understanding of Salesforce security, data governance, and integration methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
  • Salesforce certifications (CPQ Specialist, Platform Developer, or Architect and AI specialist) are a plus.
  • Experience with tools like DocuSign, Conga, Avalara Tax, Marketo, RecView or NetSuite is a plus.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Experience integrating Salesforce CPQ & Billing with ERP and Finance systems ( Experience with integrating Salesforce and Oracle is a big plus).
  • Knowledge of Salesforce Revenue Cloud and its evolution beyond CPQ and Billing ( E.g., The new Salesforce Revenue Lifecycle Management (RLM) system).
  • Prior experience working in an Agile environment with DevOps tools like Gearset, Copado, or Jenkins.
