The Sr. Data Integration Engineer is part of an Agile team designing, developing, and implementing solutions using Azure Integration Services. The role will be working on strategic projects, and supporting the existing Integrations environment and applications, with an enhanced ability to triage and correct exceptions within a short timeline. They recommend and implement changes to existing software, as well as recommend ideas for implementing future software. The Sr. Engineer must be able to learn and keep up with the rapidly changing technology landscape. Work closely with teams across the organization to understand the integration requirements, and document, design, and implement the appropriate solutions. Provide guidance, support, and peer reviews to integration engineers regardless of level and collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration across the technology ecosystem. They must be able to do custom development and integrate older tools and technologies.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Independently design/code to meet provided requirements
  • Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of integration applications and services
  • Create, maintain, and test integrations using Microsoft tools
  • Develop and maintain custom applications
  • Independently resolving production issues
  • Meet project timeline deliverables and remain within budget
  • Create and maintain appropriate technical documentation
  • Independently manage your work and time
  • Represent the Integration Team in projects and ensure that our standard accepted principles and practices are followed
  • Maintain an open line of communication with integration engineers, IT teams, and business stakeholders
  • Accountable for identifying potential environmental and integration issues and seeing them through to root cause resolution
  • Follow industry best practices and standards
  • Ensure all work is tested and reviewed before a release to production


QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8+ years experience in IT industry
  • 2+ years of Azure Enterprise Integration Pack: Azure Service Bus, Azure Logic Apps, Azure API Management, Azure Storage, Azure Data Factory, Visual Studio, and Azure SQL
  • Demonstrated experience in writing Azure Functions
  • They must exhibit proficiency in. NET-based applications using C#
  • Demonstrated experience in using source control platforms (Git) and implementing CI/CD
  • Proficiency in JSON, XML, XQuery, XSLT, XPATH, flat files, REST, SOAP, OAUTH, ODATA, & XSD
  • Comfortable working with a highly collaborative small team as well as independently
  • Experience in a dynamic, fast-paced, and results-oriented environment
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Focus on continual process improvement
  • Easily adapt to changing priorities


DESIRED SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
  • Understanding of EDI X12/EDIFACT mapping specifications
  • Understanding of Powershell
  • Understanding of the cost associated with various development patterns
