JD Title: Mainframe Storage Administrator – L3 – 6+ years of experienceExperience: 6-9 YearsLocation: Hyderabad, Bangalore, ChennaiJob DescriptionTitle of Position: Mainframe or z/OS Storage AdminSummary of key responsibilitiesManage BAU (Business as Usual) Service Delivery for Mainframe OS/Storage in a Technical CapacityThis is for a pure Technical Hands-On role and not for a Team Lead PositionWork on Daily Basis with Client/Customer Mainframe OS-Storage SMEs/PeersWork on MI (Major Incidents) / P1 (Priority-1) and lesser Tickets as a part of BAU SupportWork on Problem/RCA and Change/CMR Tickets during the weekends.Provide Business hours support and then On-Call support as is the norm in BAU Service Delivery Role.Support Mainframe Projects (HW Upgrade, OS Upgrade, ISV Products upgrade etc…) as per needs.Ensure Mainframe System Availability @ 99.99% and work towards meeting agreed SLAsYears of ExperienceL3: 10+ Years of hands-on technical experience as a Mainframe z/OS & Mainframe Storage AdminPrimary requirementsExperience to monitor, support and maintain mainframe DASD toolsMonitor and manage storage performanceAssign and initialize direct access storage volumes.Determine data set and volume placementSet and maintain direct access storage resource efficiencyMaintain established direct access storage standardsSuggest Best Practice standardsMaintain space requirements according to Client’s forecastsDesign, implement, and maintain all DASD pooling structuresPerform catalog managementPerform data migration managementProvide support for all DASD related problemsPerform regular direct-access storage backupsPlan Hardware EOL Life Cycle management and UpgradesTechnical requirementsHands-on experience with z14/z15/z16 Mainframe HW and Sysplex Setupz/OS v2.x, JES2, DFSMS, VTAM, RACF/ACF2, TCP/IP, OMVS, RMF/SMFSMP/E, various ISV products, UserMods and Exits.IPL/POR procedures, various Mainframe ConsolesMainframe Tools – OMEGAMON, TEPS, Netview, SIEMAssembler, REXX, JCL and CA-OPS/MVS Automation,IODF/IOCDS, HCD/HCM, Mainframe Capacity Planning and Performance TuningPARMLIB and PROCLIB concatenation, Memory Regions customization and maintenanceExperience in Disaster Recovery setup and conducting DR drills.Experience in Mainframe MIPS Optimization, Software rationalizationHands-on experience with Hitachi VSP 5500, IBM DS8000, IBM TS7000, EMC-VMAX/PowerMax & DLm HWIBM-Metro/Global Mirror, Copy Services, EMC-SRDF, EMC-GDDRDFSMS suite, CA-1, IBM CSMFlash Copy, BCV-SnapVX, zDP, Safe Guarded Copy (SGC)Setup and Manager Mainframe DC Storage ReplicationPerform all BAU and Project related Mainframe OS/Storage related activities.Virtual Tape Library ManagementStorage replication setup across sites, i.e. between Data Centers
